Sean L’Estrange (born November 24, 1986 in Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish footballer currently unattached. Sean plays as a defender, usually at right-back.

Career

L’Estrange has ten Irish Schools International (under 18) caps, having captained the side for a season and was a member of the team which won the Centenary Shield played between the Republic of Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales in 2004.[1] He attended and played for Drimnagh Castle C.B.S. while part of that school team set up he played alongside current Irish international Joey O'Brien. Sean played his schoolboy football with Lourdes Celtic and Stella Maris.

He spent three seasons at Shelbourne becoming a regular in their Under-21 side before moving to KIlkenny City in 2006. He had made 37 appearances in the 2006 season for Kilkenny City. L’Estrange signed for Kildare County in January 2007 joining former Kilkenny City team mate Paul Donnelly at the club.[2] L'Estrange was released by Kildare County in July 2007 after making 13 league appearances for the first team.[3] He scored his only goal for Kildare against Monaghan United in Kingspan Century Park.

In July 2007, Sean signed for Shelbourne marking his second spell with the club.[4] L'Estrange finally made his Shelbourne competitive debut on July 20, 2007 in a 1-0 league defeat against Finn Harps at Finn Park.[5] L'Estrange struggled to break into the Shels first team during his second spell and was released at the end of the 2007 season.[6] L'Estrange made 8 league appearances during the 2007 Season for Shelbourne.
